Impress guests and family members with a unique way to display your cheeses and food items this Christmas. There are no strict ingredients you can add to your stylish cheese board.
If you need some inspiration for your cheeseboard layout then why not try one of our ideas. Firstly, place your favourite cheeses on your cheeseboard and leave space in between each cheese. Some of our favourite Christmas cheeses we love to serve are brie with truffle, a strong, mature stilton, Wensleydale with cranberries, something spicy like a Mexicana, or cheddar with Diablo chilli.
Of course we can’t go without everyone’s favourite, a cheddar (we prefer extra mature).
Next, fill the spaces between your cheeses with your favourite accompaniments. We love a mixture of cashew nuts and walnuts, oat biscuits, water crackers and breadsticks. Grapes are always a must on our festive cheeseboard and a few figs always give your platter some extra class.
Finally, serve your cheeseboard with a selection of chutneys and festive jams.
Our Valley Mill Welsh slate cheeseboards make a perfect addition to your festivities or as a thoughtful gift for a friend. Why not team up the cheeseboard with one of our hand forged stainless steel cheese knives or herb choppers.

We’ve got some top tips when it comes to dressing your Christmas Tree.
1 – Tree. When using an artificial Christmas tree ensure you properly shape the branches of your tree. Separate each branch and expand each one to fill in the areas to look more like a real tree.
2 – Lights. Always add your lights first (unless of course you have a pre-lit tree). In fact, make sure your lights work before you add them to your tree. Believe us, we’ve made that mistake before. Make sure the plug reaches the power point and then start to wrap your lights from the bottom to the top. Once the lights are added, make sure they cover the tree evenly. Adjust accordingly.
3 – Decorations. Balance your decorations and we don’t mean with a weighing scale. Take a look at your decorations and evenly decorate your tree with the colours and sizes of your tree decorations.
4 – Tree Topper. Your tree topper is the crown of your tree. Choose something that goes with the theme of your tree. Whether it’s a golden star, an angel or perhaps a large bow.
5 – Tree Skirt. Finish your tree with a ‘skirt’. This can cover any unsightly metal legs or can catch the dropping needles from your real tree.
